Sophie Henderson

Sophie is CEO of the Migration Museum, which will be arriving in a permanent home in the City of London in 2027, to put Britain’s long, rich and important history of migration, both to and from the country, at centre stage: to provide context and backdrop for conversations about migration, support teaching and learning, and be a place where people feel seen, heard and represented. Currently the museum is based in a temporary home in a busy London shopping centre, from where it runs a lively cultural programme of exhibitions and events and a popular education programme.  Sophie was previously a barrister specialising in immigration and human rights law, an immigration judge and chaired Social Security appeals.
