Agni Terlilxi

Αgni Terlixi is the Deputy Head of Conservation and Restoration Directorate of the National Gallery- Alexandros Soutsos Museum. She has been working in the field of Conservation and Restoration and the physicochemical research of works of art for 25 years. Since 2022 she holds the position of the Head of Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art at the National Gallery- Alexandros Soutsos Museum. She has a degree in Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art and Antiquities and her postgraduate studies are in the field of Museum Studies.
She has experience in the project management and implementation of funded research projects. She has participated in various projects related to physicochemical research and documentation of works of art, new methods of conservation and marking of works of art, development of digital applications related to conservation, and research, but also projects related to communicating conservation/research of artworks to the public.
She has an active interest in the promotion of the field of conservation and research of works of art, through various activities and projects. She was a project management team member of the program with the acronym “PROTEAS” (action:Research- Create- Innovate), aiming to bring the general public closer to the work of the conservators and of the researchers. The research projects she currently participates in, include the European project (Horizon) with the acronym iphoto cult “Intelligent advanced Photonics Tools for remote and/or on-site monitoring of Cultural Heritage monuments and artefacts”, in which the National Gallery-Alexandros Soutsos Museum is an associate partner.
